Twenty years following the money. A lifetime following the material.

For twenty years I was a federal criminal investigator, building financial cases one record at a time. The studio ran alongside that work the whole way: indigo vats, a loom, a kiln and a welder.

It began with a textile class at Phoenix College, where I fell for indigo. Shibori led to weaving, weaving led to wicker, and wicker took me to Poznań, Poland, to compete beside weavers from around the world.

Since I retired from federal service in 2024, the studio has my full days. The patience that built a case builds a piece: look closely, take your time, get it right.

Commissions

Commission a piece

Every commission starts with a conversation about your space. From there, four steps.

one

Concept

We talk about the space, the vision, the materials. What story does this piece need to tell?

two

Design

Sketches, material samples, scale models. You see it before it's built. Revisions happen here.

three

Create

Fabrication begins. Glass, fiber, metal, each on its own timeline. Progress updates at milestones.

four

Deliver

The finished piece, delivered and installed, with care notes and a conversation about the work.
